Kindergarten

Kindergarten students are actively engaged in the learning process throughout the day. The morning is spent studying in the subjects of Math, Reading, Social Studies and Science. In Math, students begin to learn about shapes in Geometry. Students also learn about Numbers and Place Value. Reading is an essential piece of our Language Arts curriculum and all students learn to read and write Journal Entries. Following rules, being kind, and helping one another are steps toward being a great citizen, which we focus on in Social Studies. In Science students are learning about plants, animals, our Earth and the landforms, and we also study Matter.  In technology, students use computers as learning and production tools, create digital paintings, build simple circuits and explore how to control robots with code.
